ZipFlip

Privacy policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

This policy covers the ZipFlip app for Windows and this website. ZipFlip is made by KazuTech Systems ("we").

The ZipFlip app

Local processing stays on your PC. ZipFlip extracts ZIP archives and collects media on your computer. Using these local features does not require an account. ZipFlip does not include analytics, advertising or tracking.

Cloud features are in development. Google Drive and Dropbox connections are optional features in development builds and have not been publicly released. The following sections describe their use when you choose to test or use a build that includes them. They do not mean the features are available in the public download.

What ZipFlip saves on your PC. Your settings (the folders you chose, appearance and folder layout) and a history of processed files (their names, locations and results), stored in your Windows user profile so ZipFlip can show your file list. You can delete it at any time by removing %LOCALAPPDATA%\ZipFlip (direct version) or by uninstalling the app (Microsoft Store version).

Optional Google Drive connection

You connect your own Google account using Google's sign-in page in your browser. ZipFlip asks only for the drive.file permission: access to files you select through Google's picker and files ZipFlip creates for you. It does not request access to your entire Drive.

Transfers start only when you choose them. Selected downloads go directly from Google to your PC. Selected uploads go directly from your PC to your own Drive, after you review and confirm them. KazuTech Systems does not use a shared cloud account or receive these files through a backend server.

ZipFlip stores your account name, email address and account identifier locally to identify the connected account. Its saved refresh credential is encrypted for your Windows account using Windows data protection (DPAPI); access tokens stay in memory. Transfer details are kept for the current session, and downloaded files and processing history remain on your PC.

Google setup diagnostics may include timestamps, connection steps, your account email and error categories. They do not include passwords, sign-in codes, access or refresh tokens, or file names. A diagnostics report is shared with support only if you choose to copy and send it.

Disconnecting removes the saved credential on your PC and asks Google to revoke access. ZipFlip reports when remote revocation cannot be confirmed. You can also remove access through your Google account permissions. Disconnecting does not delete your files. Google's processing is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

ZipFlip's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI models.

Optional Dropbox connection

Dropbox uses your own account and app-folder access only. It can access ZipFlip's app folder rather than the rest of your Dropbox. Downloads and reviewed uploads are started by you and go directly between your PC and Dropbox. Account identity and an encrypted refresh credential are stored locally, using the same Windows per-user protection described above.

Disconnecting removes the local credential and requests revocation from Dropbox. It does not delete your cloud files. Dropbox's processing is covered by Dropbox's Privacy Policy.
